ERT under high voltage lines

Can anyone explain to me the dependence of the quality of ERT results under high voltage lines? sometimes records are very good, and sometimes the result is unacceptable - it does not reflect the prevailing geology.

Is this weather conditions? air humidity?

Re: Questions regarding ERT.

When looking for water - you must remember that you are looking for geological layers that let water pass through. Different types of rocks have different resistances so there is no definite answer to your question. In layers Q - non-cohesive layers are permeable layers. Resistance values for thes...

Electroseismics - equipment

Hi,

I haven't been there for such a long time but today I have a question. Do you know any electroseismics equipment suppliers in Europe? I am searching but all I've found is located in USA.

Thank's

kaminae, I know water layer, The water depth is about 1.7-2.2m (tested with a stick). I used supersting R8 and cable cevlar. I will try invert once again with fixed water layer.

Re: Typical penetration depth of marine resistivity imaging system

a few days ago I was doing measurements on the Vistula river. The measurements were performed with the flow of the river, 10 sections spaced at 30m. Cable length 150m, 32 electrode spacing of 5 m. Our goal was to find a low-resistance ground in the form of an educated Miocene clays. Probably (referr...

Of course i will atach result here. I'm just waiting for better weather. Seismic surveys will be conducted at night - to eliminate the noise, so i look forward to do it ;)

Re: unexpected result of geophysical surveys

Thanks to all for the comments. I should be called my topic "unexpected geophisical result" . Before I did field survey I made resistivity model based on geological research. - So I was expecting "high resistivity box in relative low resistivity host". Now I'm curious of seismic results ;)

Re: unexpected result of geophysical surveys

Hi, thx for your attachment. Surface is almost flat so topography it does not matter i think.
DSM means Deep Soil Mixing -more about - http://jafecusa.com/?page_id=2796.
I think is nessesery to repeat ERT once again with better weather.

On the surface was a thin layer of ice, but I got through it . Do you think that it could have an impact on my result?
The DSM barier is realy big - is made under the highway.

unexpected result of geophysical surveys

Hi all, The goal of my research was to determine the shape DSM barriers and identify possible weak areas inside the barrier. I did resistiviti imaging and I expected high resistivit contrast between the DSM and the low resistance soil (clay). The result is quite the opposite. Any ideas what really h...

In the same area I did a refraction survey and one borchole in the middle of profile. I atach also result from refraction and my result of MASW(but I'm not sure if I did right).
