Re: Mala GPR Easy Locator HDR
it's about same hdr pro 450 mhz reaches about 600 cm in normal conditions, on same site 250 mhz shielded antenna might reach 800 cm. obviously hdr data has much more resolution -thanks to direct sampling technology- than 250 mhz but you can not tweek the settings (stacking, number of sampes on a tr...

I agree with ADobrovolskiy, the long hyperbola does not look like coming from underground. The other one might be a man-made structure?

GPR for underground void locating
Underground void locating with GPR is not always easy. Sometimes it's just hard to tell whether you are looking at a void or not in the GPR profile. In the following example, between 5' to 9' marks, there is apparently a void since it's so close to the ground surface. But it's harder to determine whe...

Mala GPR Easy Locator HDR
Has anyone used this GPR before? It's center frequency is 450MHz. High dynamic range helps its penetration depth, but how is its penetration depth compared to a regular 250MHz antenna?

Thanks, ADobrovolskiy. I never viewed ariborne GPR data before. Is the ground surface flat?

Anyone has an GPR image to show? It would be very interesting to see what it look like in the GPR data.

GPR legal requirements
Is this real, or it's just a bogus claim? It implies other GPR manufactures other than "US Radar" are not compliant with the law: http://www.worksmartinc.net/gpr-requirements.php Here is the quote from the webpage: " Just because a company has been manufacturing, designing, selling, or leasing radar...

UXO detection in US should still be fine, right? Some companies are still hiring geophysicists using mag and EM61. I guess it is a different matter.

gmradar, you are right! I just checked their website and I don't see any mutli-channel products except the Roadscan using horn antennas.

Re: VISOR GPR from NIITEK
This is a military system and the price includes training, installation and support. Also it is coming with an array of metal detectors so that is the reason the price is that high. The most expensive GPR i knew was Terravision, an array GPR, from GSSI but this was tagged at about 100k$ and not 300...

I own a GSSI GPR. I tried Radan long time ago and I don't think they had 3D programs at that time yet.

Re: Greetings from Sensors & Software Inc.
I consider myself a geophysicist although I am not very good at math stuff. The main reason I want to do 3D visualization is to do "blind" scannings at sites where clients want to search for "everything" which could cause environmental concerns. So, without any specific targets in mind, it's better ...

Hi, sensoft, I checked the link, the program is exactly what I had in mind! Thanks! Currently I am using GSSI GPR regularly, but I might consider switching to Sensors & Software for the data handling I need. Thanks again!

Re: VISOR GPR from NIITEK
The highest price for a GPR system I ever heard before was about $300,000. I think it's from GSSI. This NIITEK system is apparently the champion.

The wave velocity is so high, it should be sand or something similar.
