hi nsm,
i used GPR for shallow stratigraphic investigations , shallow structure and detection of water table.

what are the more important GPR filtres?

there is program of GPR processing as( reflexw) contains a lot of filters( mean, median, band pass,f-k, DC , ) but there is program contains a few number of filters .so, i want to know what are the more important filters?

Re: malachite

Malachite is often with other copper minerals in copper ores. Direct current electrical resistivity and IP method are commonly used for delineating their scopes. However, depending on the depths and deposit environment, other methods can be used. Gravity, magnetic and even SP method can be used to ...

tyler :It is an anomaly unless you are sure it's caused by noises or it's a false measurement.[/quote] yes it is anomaly but if there are more one point ( must be 4 or 6 points)it will be sure an anomaly but if one station it may be false measurement> the question now what is this anomaly ? dike,vie...

Re: magnetic profile interpretation

1- the profile length is 210 meter.
2- the field reading increase gently .
3-there is anomaly from 190-210m I think it not enough one station (200 m) to say it is anomaly .

Re: ip (chargeability) devalution of iron sulfides?

It depends on which media you are compare these values to when speaking of devaluation. How much are the chargeability values for the ore rocks and surrounding rocks? Also, artifacts such as underground cables and pipes could cause noises. Your description of problem is too simple for good answers....

Re: ip (chargeability) devalution of iron sulfides?

Could you post data as a curve or something? I like to get a better sense about what you are talking about. Thanks. its very simple. when the chargeability is low of disseminated iron sulfides of metamorphic acid to intermediate rocks ( it is abnormal case) what the probably reasons? the metamorpho...

ip (chargeability) devalution of iron sulfides?

We have measured ip on meta acidic to intermediate rocks which contain disseminated iron sulphides but the surprise was the devaluation of the chargeability and rising of magnetic values.

i think this devaluation of chargeability caused by fractures or other reasons? :?:

it problem when i measure dc resistivity in very low resistivity bed the instrument appears over load ( it may harmful to the instrument) so may i put the electrodes in some sands . can any one help me to cancel over load readings with other methods?
