VSP Processing Need Help on Seismic Unix

Hello Guys I am trying to do Zero Offet VSP Processing on Seismic Unix. I am using a script for fundamental VSP processing steps. First, I am filtering out the downgoing wavefield. Then,I am picking arrivals, and make them write on a txt.file. After that, I am converting my time values (seconds) to ...

VSP Processing on Seismic Unix

Hello Guys

I need to do the Zero-offset VSP process on Seismic Unix. Is there anyone who has Seismic Unix scripts from Picking First Arrivals to the last stack step.
If you have, I would be appreciated.

Thanx

Vertical Seismic Profiling: Principles

Hi all

Is there anyone who has an e-book is named " Vertical Seismic Profiling: Principles by Bob A. Hardage?

Thanks in advance

Converting .su files to .segy files

Hello all I used segymat-master toolbox for converting my .su file to .segy because I had to do crosscorrelation on matlab. After crosscorrelation, I converted my .segy to .su file this time, and I tried to plot my .su file on seismic unix, terminal says error reading input file. Have you guys ever ...

OpenSource - Seismic Unix running error help

Hello All I am using the 2D Finite Wave field Modelling code (OpenSource) by Jan Thorbecke and Seismic Unix together for seismic interferometry. After running the script, the program gives an error on the terminal. I am using these using ubuntu virtualbox on my laptop. Is there anyone who can help m...

Re: Seismic Unix Semblance-Constant Velocity Stacks

Firstly, that gather is way too noisy for velocity picking. Run a filter on it to get rid of some of that high f noise and maybe try a pass of radon or at least a gap decon to do something about those multiples since they are dominating your semblance in places. Also, your CVS panel only seems to s...

Seismic Unix Semblance-Constant Velocity Stacks

Hello all! I am just wondering that my constant velocity stacks figure does not show high amplitude values for second and third reflectors (First one is ok). Also, If I can see maximums for those to be picked in the semblance plot, that would be good. Are these related to parameters nvs and dvs valu...

Re: Seismic Unix Help-Seismic data Processing

Hello Guys

Is there anyone who wants to share his crosscorrelation and sort scripts ? I did but I may have made mistake(s) somewhere. I am trying to model my synthetic data and process through ambient seismic interferometry.

I will appreciate if you'd like to share

Thanx

Seismic Unix Velocity Analysis Noise Reduction

Hi all I am using synthetic data in my project. In the velocity analysis, my semblance plot is noisy. That's why I can not pick the velocities. My advisor said that I need to take specific offsets that have reflections in my virtual shot gathers ( e.g. red rectangular areas in the screenshot) becaus...

Re: Seismic Unix-Velocity Analysis Problem

Nightwolf - I thing you should also check the trace values for OFFSET and AOFFSET in your trace data. The offset axis on your displays only shows a value of 0 - and this could be a big problem. I hope this helps you get the velocity analysis part working. Da_Rave Hey Da_Rave Thank you for replying....

Seismic Unix-Velocity Analysis Problem

Hi everybody! I am using seismic unix, and when I do velocity analysis, my semblance plot's time goes down 0.6s. On the other hand, my CMP constant velocity stacks and CMP gather plots' time goes down 3.34s. If I am not wrong, my semblance time must be the same value (3.34s) like constant velocity s...

2D Finite Difference Wavefield Modeling (fdelmodc)_Seismic Unix_Crosscorrelation

Hi guys! I am using fdelmodc code. I am trying to solve crosscorrelation. Before the crosscorrelation, I normalized my traces, which will be used in crosscorrelation, but I could not do crosscorrelation step. I used SIrand.scr script. This script generates just one virtual shot gather. However, I hav...
