Help needed ! Using GSSI UtilityScan DF antenna without encoding wheel ?

Post by Yassine »

Hello everyone !

I have purchased a GSSI UtilityScan DF antenna equipped with a panasonic Toughpad FZ-G1, it works fine, but I cannot use the antenna without the encoding wheel mounted to it !
I used to do that with the GSSI SIR-3000 and a 400 MHz antenna, it was possible to acquire data in time not in distance.
I think it is a software limitation because the tablet runs windows 8 and a program belonging to GSSI is launched on startup.

So my question is ; is there a way to use the antenna without the encoding wheel mounted on ?

Thank you !

You can only use the DF antenna on time mode with the SIR-4000 not the Panasonic tablet.
