i have an Apex Parametrics Dipole Dipole EM which is not an EM-38 but has several similar characteristics which may or may not suit your purpose.

Selling a an Apex Parametrics ( makers of the MaxMin ) Double-Dipole MarkII EM. Measures In-Phase and Quadrature (Out-of-Phase). Simultaneous readout of both components. Indicates conductors and magnetically permeable bodies. Frequency 5000 Hz. Maximum depth of penetration 26 metres (85 ft.), depending on the size of the conductor. Light weight, rugged, one-man unit. Coil separation 1.5 metres. Weight 3.75 Kg (8.25 Lbs.). Uses 2 standard 9V transistor batteries. Comes with foam lined shipping case and manual. Asking $1500 plus shipping. alanson
